Professor Chronis Kynigos was invited as a Keynote Speaker at the International Symposium on "The Future of Teaching and Learning in the Age of AI."
The event (9-10/2024) was organized by the ongoing inter-university doctoral consortium: GRADEresearch Consortium and hosted by Linnaeus University in Växjö, Sweden.
Chronis joined a distinguished lineup of keynote speakers, including Barbara Wasson from the University of Bergen and Janice Gobert from Rutgers University.
In his talk, titled "What about GenAI for Deep Learning in Humans?", Chronis asks the question: how can genAI serve diversity, creativity, curiosity and agency in the context of transformational education? He then talks about how he and his collaborators go about practically and uniquely addressing the challenge.
In addition to the insightful presentations, the event featured a mini hackathon, where participants had the chance to engage with AI tools hands-on, discovering innovative ways to enhance learning.
