Broken Calculator

The "broken calculator" is a focused authoring tool, which allows the design of 'falible' artefacts in which the user has to look for alternative ways of calculating the numbers due to the absence / inactivity of specific calculator keys. The artefacts developed with this template focus on the value of the decimal numbering system, to number analysis and synthesis, as well as to involve students in problem solving processes. The 'broken calculator' template has been used for the development of 60 micro-experiments that are uploaded in the National Portal 'Photodentro'.
